Discipleship Pathway
The Discipleship Pathway aims to equip believers to become disciple-making disciples of Jesus. Whether new to faith or simply wanting to grow more, these classes aim to equip the church to walk in faithful service to our King.
Discover is a 20-minute gathering after a Sunday service that will introduce you to our beliefs and ministry DNA at SCBC. We’ll share some food and drinks, take care of your kids if needed, and walk through some core values and distinctives of our local church.
Follow is a foundational 8-week class designed to equip you to follow Jesus in the context of the local church. Whether you’re new to the Christian life or just ready to grow deeper, this class will walk you through the basics of the Christian life. Through teaching, conversation, and practical steps, you’ll gain clarity and confidence in what it looks like to follow Jesus alongside the people God has placed in your life.
Multiply is an 8-month discipleship class for those eager to help others follow Jesus. Through intentional reading, group conversation, and practical training, you’ll be equipped to point others to Jesus in your everyday life. This class delves deeply into what it means to be a healthy and multiplying part of the church, culminating in the development of a personal life plan for making disciples.
Lead is a 12-month program for those with a desire to lead and teach others in the way of Jesus. Through serious reading, deep discussion, and hands-on practice, you’ll grow in your ability to communicate God’s Word, shepherd and counsel others, and lead with clarity and conviction. This class focuses on both the character and competency of a church leader. After the year is over, you’ll be equipped to steward your gifts for the service of the church and the growth of God’s Kingdom
